At home i have a report where a germantank even destroyed a tankwall. It was pushed over by the tank and one vf crumbled when the tank rode against it . It was also in the kva3 sector. I look it over and it was 1944

Interesting photos. It looks the Cointet obstacles are not properly instaled. They are kind of elastic obstacle, which absorbs the energy of the moving tank by its own move. But the Germans tried to fix them by metal rods.

Not a good shakedown for the obstacles.

Anti-tank obstacles were also designed to slow down an advancing tank. Normally it would be vulnerable to anti-tank fire?

Hello Jos,

yes it is the Albertplein, the most famous place in Knokke (plaçe m'as tu vu)
see buildings on foto, are the same.
the foto I posted, came from the inheritance of an officer of Gren. Rgt 732, so Knokke was first choice to be the location

I think that because the obstacles were no good, the Germans decided to dig an antitank ditch across the square.

regards,

Eddy
