Yup, that's the photo I was referring to.

There was a KB from Maribor (Slovene or an ethnic German, don't know), I remember Darko wrote about him here http://www.forum-der-wehrmacht.de/index ... %E2%80%9C/

Did the Slovene Home Guard (Domobranci) keep such meticulous records?
My grandfather served in the Domobranci, trying to find more information on what unit he served and where he may have seen action
Much appreciated!

Did any of these soldiers from Slovenia serve in the SS Prinz Eugen division, as this division was mainly made up of Volksdeutsch from Hungary, Romania and other parts of Yugoslavia(Banat and Croatia)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/7th_SS_ ... rinz_Eugen

Plus please find below an extensive history on Volksdeutsch in Slovenia:

Yeas, there were some, that also served in Prinz Eugen or were at least sent to SS-Geb.AuE-Btl. 7 in Gradiška.

Interesting thesis.

The internet keeps making confusions. "Prinz Eugen" was a Banat (Serbia) ethnic German division. There were some conscripts from other regions too, but still, the division remains a Banat ethnic German unit (Danube Swabian).
