Re: Führerbunker as a tourist attraction?
How soon we forget!
Some things are best left buried.
The bunker, in particular, is of no architectural or aesthetic merit and Hitler did nothing positive of note in it to merit anyone making a fast buck out of insensitive or ignorant tourists, let alone Neo-Nazi groupies.
Leave well alone.
Future generations, further removed from the awfulness of those times, might have more excuse to put them on display, but we are too close to the generation who suffered at these b@st@rds hands to insult them by turning these political ruins into visitor attractions.
For shame!
Sid.

This is the location of Göbbels private bunker, as you can see it is within the today´s Holocaust memorial. Mapsource: http://www.din-bog.dk/Tyskland/Behrenstrasse/Makarov wrote:During the excavation of the holocaust memorial they discovered Göbbels personal bunker attached to his villa. For some time they considered including it to the memorial but sadly they decided not to.

Hello,
I'm planning to go for a long tour, Can anyone recommend me any tourist attraction where I can go with my family. And yes I love the natural place and love to go hiking. So please get me any place to hiking.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Am I to assume that the bunkers shown on the plan are not accessible? or do Berlin unterwelten have access.
I would love to see if there are pictures of any of these bunkers about although I suspect that is not the case.

Ps I am an old friend of Rudolf v. Ribbentrop who took an interest in his Fathers former shelter.

Are there any photos of Goebbels' villa from the 1930s, or after the fall of Berlin?
