Does anyone have any information on General Ferdinand von Quast other then he was the commander of the German 6th Army during Ludendorff's 1918 offensive?

some promotion information on the general:

Leutnant: 12 Jan 1871
Premierleutnant: 23 Sep 1879
Hauptmann: 08 Mar 1887
Major: 01 Sep 1894
Oberstleutnant: 18 Jan 1901
Oberst 18 Apr 1903
Generalmajor: 21 May 1905
Generalleutnant: 10 Sep 1910
General der Infanterie: 19 Aug 1914

Ferdinand von Quast was born on the 18th of October 1850 at Radensleben and died on the 27th of March 1939. He was a veteran of the Franco-German War of 1870/71 having joined the Kaiser Franz Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 2 on the 19th of July 1870 in which he had won the Iron Cross 2nd Class. He served with that regiment for over twenty years until assigned as a supplementary Major to the 2. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß on the 1st of September 1894. Assigned as a battalion commander from the 13th of May 1895 he successively commanded the IV, Füsilier and I battalions of the 2nd Foot Guards until assigned to the staff of the Königin Augusta Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 4 on the 16th of February 1901.
