Hello gentlemen
I refer to Oberst Brabec (listed above). I just found his signature in the attached document, but to me the name signed there clearly looks rather like "Brabetz" (I´d even say, without doubts at all, that his signature absolutely reads Brabetz……). Your opinion ?
Thanks + Rgds.

Re: Oberst z.V. [Edler von] Kefer

Hello,

I need a confirmation about Oberst z.V. Edler von Kefer was austrian. On PV he was sometimes listed Edler von and sometimes not. He was attached to WBK Wien I and Feldkommandant 197 in 1941- 1942. Promoted Oberst z.V. on 01.03.42 mit RDA vom 01.08.40.

Any other info is welcome
Rudolf

I can just find Eugen Edler von Kefer who was Oberstleutnant with RDA 01.05.1917, but I would doubt that he got a z.V.-Verwendung in WW2 because of age.

Yes, you are right, but he was already "im Ruhestand in Lokalanstellung und besonderer Verwendung" which means that he was not in active service in 1918. I would doubt that he was re-installed in 1939 or later as "z.V.".

I think his death in 1927 should rule him out for a z.V.-Verwendung in WW2.

But I can add some data:

Kefer Richard Edler von
KuK: Hauptmann (FKR 42)
01.02.1918 Major (FAR 3) [17.5] [rückw. PVBl. 176/1918]
ÖBH1: Oberstleutnant a.D. (BA d. HV, AJR 8)
01.02.1923 Ruhestand nach Angestelltenabbaugesetz [VBl. 3/1923]
26.03.1923 Oberst (Titel) anläßlich des Ausscheidens [VBl. 16/1923]
BMVM.a.B.d.MVK (PVBl. 67/1916)

Regards

Christian
