German defence line details

Post by 1jasonoz » 29 Apr 2003 14:07

Was just wondering if any body has any idea on actual drawings, plans, on the major defence lines built by the Germans. Would like to see down to pillbox, tank trap, mine field scale. As the Germans built alot of lines, ie, Atlantic wall, Panther line(Russia), Gothic line, West wall etc, would like an idea of zones of fire, kill zones v's tanks, how they where set up in general, would love to recreat for table top(6mm spearhead rules) gaming.+ tks jason jasonwaroo@yahoo.com.au

I could give you some details about some parts of the Atlanticwall....
But not the entire line! The lines also varied very much in strenght, so if you could specify your question......?

Sorry about that, yes any close up areas of the lines, not the entire system(1500 miles!!) Understand the allies had detailed maps of the Normandy fortifications, even stolen German plans down to individual foxholes, but ive never found them anywhere that detailed on the web.

The Then & Now books dealing with DDay have many drawings and maps etc showing the defences encountered during DDay and the Normandy campaign.
