As far as I saw, it includes both records from the central archives (= identical to NARA/BAMA funds) and records captured on the field by the Red Army. The later are the truly original.
For ex, entries 75-79 are V. AK in 1939-1940, during the battle for France. They are also in NARA.
But entries 92 or 99, also V. AK, are spring 1944 and are not in NARA.
Also, one advantage of the site vs. the NARA microfilm is getting color copies of the documents instead of black & white copies.
One downside is the ugly watermark.
