Umbau von Panzerkampfwagen 35R (f).
Some of the captured R-35s reached the eastern front, but not as tanks. Their turrets were removed and a new makeshift artillery tractor was born. 110 of these vehicles (officially called Umbau von Panzerkampfwagen 35R (f)) were dispatched to artillery units operating the sFH 18 howitzers and the heavier 18 cm K 18 cannon / 21 cm Mrs 18 howitzer in February 1941. They were used with success and by March 1942 the Wehrmacht still had 52 of these tractors on active duty.
