German High Commanders of WW2

AOK 17 has been updated according to the KTB (thanks to John "Histan" for the hint). We now have a gap between Boriß and Schulz. I would assume that Schwatlo-Gesterding managed affairs in mid-July, but there may have been even another interim manager.

„Der O.B. der 7. Armee, General Eberbach, …, gerät in Gefangenschaft. … Auf Grund dieser Ereignisse findet ein Befehlswechsel bei den beiden Armeen nicht statt. SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Dietrich übernimmt mit Pz. AOK 5 nunmehr auch für den gefangenen General Eberbach die Führung der 7. Armee.“

I don' t understand, from biograph. sources and unit histories Eberbach 29.8 Kgf. and Brandenberger 29.8 mFb. I' m really puzzled.....
Could it be that the change was registered later (31.8) but it occurred earlier (29.8) ?

I don't know to which sources you are referring, but for me the date of Eberbach's capture was never in question. Of course, it is confirmed by all relevant KTBs. Brandenberger took over on 1 September, just as this thread says on page 22.

The biggest news is that Lindemann was mstFb HGr Nord in October 1943. If somebody is able to support a begin date, please come forward.

I just noticed that KTB AOK 4 confirms Hans Reinhardt was mstFb HGr Mitte on 28/29, maybe early 30 October 1943 (between Kluge and Busch).

In Heinrici´s Dienstlaufbahn it is reported that in may 44 he was 4 weeks in Kur, who was his deputy ?

Heinrici's leave began on 5 June, and it is well known that Tippelskirch was his substitute (not "deputy").

Thanks, but now I still have one last question regarding Tippelskirch
Mehner too mentions him as substitute but gives his arrival on 14.6 (and GL. Müller as his deputy from 4.6 to 14.6)
Is that possible (and Mehner correct) or maybe Heinrici left before, with Müller as deputy until 4 or 5 june (then Tippelskirch) ? Rgds.

Once again, in this context a Stellvertreter is always a substitute and never a "deputy". I don't care what certain people write as long as I have sound reason and the KTB. Do you want to tell me that a Generalleutnant commanded an army over the heads of three full generals and Korps commanders (Tippelskirch, Martinek and Völckers)? This would be ridiculous. Müller was mstFb XII. Armeekorps for Tippelskirch, and that's as high as he ever got (unless we count his later DDR service).
