Christmas in the German colonies

Post by Chris Dale » 21 Dec 2015 00:54

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all our members.

It always strikes when I see the thin fir trees that they managed to get to together as a Weinachtsbaum to celebrate Christmas in the colonies.
Season's greeting and a Merry Christmas to all,

Just now found:
Frohe Weihnachten (Merry Christmas) German East Africa during survey works between 1909 and 1912
“Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. . . . All History was a
palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary” – G. ORWELL 1984
