S.B.

That would be Walter Dove (19.03.1869-??)

Here are the dates for his "turkish" service

Gen.Maj. u. Gen. Quartiermstr.

19.03.18-28.08.18 Chef d. Gen. St. d. Deutschen Milit. Mission in d. Türkei

before that he served a "Chef d. Gen. St." of several Etappen Inspektionen

At the beginning of the war he was a major and Ia in the General staff of V. AK. He finished the war as an Oberst (commission 18.04.1918) and I have nothing to indicate he was promoted or given the "Charakter" as a prussian Gen.Maj.

Andy,

Thanks yes, thats my problem finding these men, most are given higher Ottoman ranks, when there Prussian ranks would be lower, I have a number of Generals I can't find

Another I can't find

Herrgott Adolf Maj Gen 4th Ordu Kurmay Baskani (4th Army Chief of Staff)

That's if he's spelled correctly?

Ottoman records show Adolf Herrgott as the 4th Army Chief of Staff in Palestine during 1916

But I had no luck finding him on line?

Also can you find what officer is

Wülfingen Bock von Maj Gen Genel Kurmay Cephe gerisi Müfettisligi Baskani (Chief of Staff General of the Front Office Inspector General) Ottoman Army

is he?

Adolf Bock von Wülfingen (1840–1920), preußischer Generalmajor
Ernst Bock von Wülfingen (1840–1899), preußischer Generalmajor
Georg Bock von Wülfingen (Generalmajor) (1868–1952), deutscher Generalmajor
Otto Bock von Wülfingen (1855–1937), Generalmajor, Mitglied des preußischen Abgeordnetenhauses
