Re: NARA rolls made digital
This is yet another series of interrogations, on top of the earlier M1270, which available for free on fold3.com.nickterry wrote: ↑15 Feb 2023 23:59Just uploaded to RG 238:

Re: NARA rolls made digital
I should have noted M1270 is already on there, but yes - NMT rather than IMT interrogations, over 10x the number, the key difference is most of the M1019 interrogation transcripts are in German rather than simultaneously interpreted to English as was the case at IMT behind the scenes. See Richard Overy, Interrogations, for more on the IMT interrogations.Mori wrote: ↑16 Feb 2023 11:05This is yet another series of interrogations, on top of the earlier M1270, which available for free on fold3.com.nickterry wrote: ↑15 Feb 2023 23:59Just uploaded to RG 238:

This leaves from RG 238 microfilms - 276 reels to go, plus a microfiche card series
- (part of the) Goebbels diaries on 7 reels, lacking a T or M number on the web page about war crimes trial records
- T301, 164 reels of NI-documents
- T1119, 47 reels of NOKW-documents
- M978, Guertner diaries, 3 reels
- M1278, M1291, M1397, register cards to NI, NG, NOKW docs, 13 reels
- M891, US vs Friedrich Flick, 42 reels
- M1137 finding aid for IMT, 73 microfiche cards
Everything else has been uploaded, albeit some were done by fold3.com years back.
There are 14 larger cases from the Dachau Tribunal in RG 153/549 (page is unclear how they break down), totalling 86 reels and 24 microfiche cards. T1021, 20 reels, was done by fold3.com years ago, and there are 5 reels of the Dachau Tribunal Review board opinions (M1217) which are already online at the University of Marburg's website on war crimes trials. Plus 2 series of 314 reels of IMT Tokyo for the Far East in RG 331.
I think most would prefer RG 242, T78 now!

Re: NARA rolls made digital
Added to RG 238 overnight
- T301, NI-series documents, 164 reels
https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/644192
The previous post indicates which microfilm series remain within RG 238 - not so many now.
From 12 Jan 2023 to 30 March 2023, a search on NARA for 'microfilm' available to access online increased from 1,115,350 to 1,117,695 = +2345 reels, across all record groups.

Re: NARA rolls made digital
Hello, colleagues! Have a good time of day to everyone!
I ask for your help. I have a problem finding a complete collection of documents on the Friedrich Flick trial (NMT). The specified link to the website "Research at the National Archives" (Records of U.S. Military Tribunal at Nuernberg (RG238)) does not resolve the issue. Files are not active (microfilm copies - Friedrich Flick et al. (Case V), Mar. 3 - Dec. 22, 1947. Microfilm Publication M891. (Flick Case-Industrialist). 42 rolls. (DP) .
If possible, recommend other sources that could fill the gap with a complete collection of "The Flip Case".
With respect and best wishes,
Michael

Re: NARA rolls made digital
The Flick case is the last of the 12 NMT trials waiting to be digitised and uploaded. I would expect this within a fairly short time, in the past, there have been some weeks with several uploads from RG 238 or consecutive weeks for RG 238 and RG 242 microfilm series. So it could be as soon as tonight (6pm Eastern Standard Time, later in Europe) or tomorrow, but there no guarantees. At 42 reels, the Flick trial is not that big.MichaelWolf wrote: ↑31 Mar 2023 15:16Hello, colleagues! Have a good time of day to everyone!

For sure, T301 NI-documents would keep you busy in the meantime.

Re: NARA rolls made digital
Good day!
Indeed, the T-301 series does not let you get bored! Of course, I am waiting for the placement of 42 rolls of "The Flick Case", it will be incredibly interesting to compare the content with the T-301 series. For example, comparing the list of documents "The Krupp Case" with the list of documents on the Croup process in the T-301 materials, you can find some differences. In any case, thank you very much for your answer, for your help, and most importantly - for your work, for what you and your team are doing for ordinary researchers who, for various reasons, do not have the opportunity now and in the near future to work in the archives of the USA, Germany, Great Britain and other countries.
With respect and gratitude,
Michael

Hello!
I am asking you for help again. Suddenly there was a technical problem. Without explaining any reasons, the link to the T301 series stopped opening: https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/644192 which you recommended to me in one of the recent letters. Please tell me what this may be related to and, if possible, how you can get out of this situation.
With respect and best wishes,
Michael

Just wait a while, sometimes the website is evidently overloaded or distracted (eg during uploads).
