Re: The New 'Free NARA Rolls' List
Greetings to all.
I am looking for materials on the 11th Infantry division: R 581, 582 and 583 to write a research paper on the actions of the German troops near Leningrad. Does anyone have a link to download these materials? Thank you in advance!

You can find the first two rolls (T-315 R-581 and T-315 R-582) on the FTP server of John Calvin.

Dear AHF Friends
I am looking for any information on the 19. Armee from October 1944 to May 1945 which makes reference to the Volkssturm.
Also if you have come across any Volkssturm related information, in relation to Volkssturm Units, would be greatly appreciated.
Most respectfully
Germanicus [Mark]
An extensive list of Volkssturm-Bataillons?

I think there is very little in the German sources. And whenever there's something from/about 19 AOK, it's not about VS units.
As they were fighting the French and the US 6th army, you could look into their records. At least you have complete records. I'm familiar with corps and army level records and VS is mentioned occasionaly. It could be interesting to check division and lower levels, as well as individual PoW interrogations.
I once wanted to know what happened in the Black Forest in April 1945 - French troops stopped progressing for a week or so - but couldn't find anything. I didn't search too hard though.

Re: The New 'Free NARA Rolls' List
Dear AHF Family... two questions.
1. Was there a series of Feldpostnummern books and if so where would one locate them?
2. The 9th (1943) & 10th (15 December 1944) edition of the Frontnachweiser is known. What about Series 1-8 Frontnachweiser? Have these been located.
Your response would be appreciated.
Most respectfully
Germanicus.
