When you've been out and about photographing all these emplacements have you ever come across any of the remains of Org.Todt camps or Slave labour camps from which the labour to build the emplacements came?
Andy
Question to Erik
Hallo Andy!
As you know, these camps only had barracks made of wood......
After the war, there was a urgent need for building materials, so people actually "stole" the barracks and used them to repair their own houses.
The Norwegian army managed to stop this after a few weeks, but only the houses they wanted were kept.
As for OT and prison camps, I have only seen foundations for barracks. All wooden structures and fences are long gone, atleast in "My" area.

Difficult question....This is a bit out of my range of interests. How many camps were in your area?
There were camps near every large construction site. As far as I remember, there were 3 or 4 around this city. As for the rest of this part of the coast (Bergen-Kristiansand) I know atleast 10 more!
