Hello,
my name is Michael and I come from Germany. Sorry for my school englisch, about 35 years old.
My Grandfather Eugen Gries was from Oct. 1936 until May 19th 1937 in Spain with AS AS 88. He flew Heinkel He 59 and He 60. He flew very often from Cadiz to Tetuan and Melilla and he flew against Malaga harbour in action. In Sept. 1939 he got the Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords, on of 1126
If someone has got any information of this unit or from my Grandpa at that time, it will be nice if you answer.
I own Sea Planes of the Legion Condor, AS 88, Lopez - O Donnell

Hello,
here a second picture with the Spanish Cross in Gold with Swords.
It was made in 1939 in Hamm / Westfalen, the home of my grandfather.
