Artillerie-Regiment 178 Kommandeur, 1939-1940

Hello,

Does anyone know who was the commanding officer for this regiment from its creation late August 1939 until Oberst Alfons Hitter took its command on December 1st, 1940?
It seems to have been Erich Tornier, but I need to know his ranks (Oberstleutnant, Oberst? When was he promoted from the first to the second rank?) and the timeframe he was in command of this regiment.

Thank you for your help.
Regards,

Jan-Hendrik,

Excellent. Oberstleutnant Erich-Hermann Tornier took command of the Artillerie-Regiment 178 during the Mobilmachung, and was promoted to Oberst on April 1st, 1940. I suppose he stayed in command until Hitter took his place on December 1st, 1940.
Thank you very much. Regards,
