Erich Priebke medals
What kind of awards had SS-Hauptsturmführer Erich Priebke?
Re: Erich Priebke medals
He only held the 1939 Wound Badge in Black and the SA-Sports Badge in Bronze. If you Google his name, you'll see images of him wearing these awards.

Re: Erich Priebke medals
He had no occasion to ever receive a wound badge, as far as I know.
This picture appears to show both sports badges- SA-Sportabzeichen and Deutsches Reichssportabzeichen (both likely in bronze)- as well as the ribbon of the Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938. And of course the Ehrendegen des RFSS.
This is a relatively early photo. I think it likely he'd have later received one or both classes of the Kriegsverdienstkreuz mit Schwertern. Would have to see his SS file to be sure, though.
http://de.metapedia.org/wiki/Priebke indicates he received the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz, but provides no source for that information. It also gives him the gold version of the SA-Sportabzeichen, but again- nothing to back it up. Metapedia is not the most reliable source, given its political slant, but one occasionally finds some useful material there.

Thanks for the correction Mike, I thought that was the Reich Sports Badge in Bronze, but it was so fuzzy, wasn't sure!
