Guy on Facebook ww1-ww2 patches says this is WW1, I told him NO way, nylon based twill with same #1??? Modern materials and manufacture. Your opinions?

I have no clue, just that I never have seen any US Army SSI's using this backing and #1 material.All I have seen are that they were multipiece wool or fely based. Not this weird twill or canvas type material. I think the guy over on that group is trying to pull a fast one, as he has posted bunches of these strange made patches for some time

I know there is a new generation of fake American WW 1 patches coming out of France that are extremely realistic and would fool most of us if offered indivigually, including all variations and ultra rare types. Don't know if this one is fake or not, but it would be considered a post-war version worn from the 20/early 30s.

I wouldn't pay more than $50.00 bucks or so but I would buy it for my 1st Division collection (my unit in Vietnam). This type certainly was made....just not sure when this example was!
