The German Command lacking reserves cannibalized existing formations into kampfgruppen to patrol along key Strategic LInes.
Along the Bucharest - Ploesti Route a German Kampf Gruppe was blocked and ordered to surrender by Rumanian Troops no longer with the Axis.
The German Commander rejected the offer and ordered an immediate attack to clear the Blockade.
