Finally - I think I found a M32 stick grenade
Finally - I think I found a M32 stick grenade
This one came out of Russia. Borrowed the stick from my practice grenade. I would love to find some bases or some other original sticks but i was lucky to find this top cylinder. If this isn't Finnish, please let me know.

Nice find! Took me many years.... yah crazy Russians!
There are "star" caps available on Gunbroker & Ebay. They are German but identical.
Shop around & find a good one, many are thrashed!

a reporter once asked me, after an awards ceremony
"are purple hearts for soldiers & bronze stars for officers?'

AlpinoinMT,
I appreciate the reply. I have a replica German stick grenade and it is a larger diameter. Is there a certain era or type of star cap that matches the Finnish stick? Thanks again.

See attached photo. Diameter is about 45 mm from one star tip to opposite tip. It seems to be assembled from two components - star and another part with the thread - which have been attached to one another with three rivets. The brown stuff is weapon lacquer, which was commonly used in metal components of these handgrenades to protect them from corrosion.
