Sidebar: Wishing pleasant holiday for celebrants of Easter, Passover and the soon arriving Earth Day.

Link about Glen Harper's book "For King And Other Countries - The New Zealanders who fought in other services in the First World War".

When reading the article, note the era's ease of obtaining jobs in the various mentioned economies. Contrast this to post WWII times.

The link's pictures are superb. Note the picture of Alfred S--- in field uniform.

Note term "jam tin bombs".

Had initially thought French Foreign Legion hats were white. Obviously there were exceptions.
