They say that Oversteegen, her sister, and friend Hannie Schaft worked to sabotage the Nazi military presence in the Netherlands.
They used dynamite to disable bridges and railroad tracks.
Additionally, they aided Jewish children by smuggling them out of the country or helping them escape concentration camps.
The Oversteegens and Schaft also killed German soldiers, with Freddie the first of the girls to kill a soldier by shooting them while riding their bicycles. They lured soldiers to the woods under the pretense of a romantic overture and then killed them. Oversteegen would approach the soldiers in taverns and bars and ask them to "go for a stroll" in the forest.
And before the war, the Oversteegen family harbored people from Lithuania in the hold of their ship, hidden.
A very busy life, requiring lots of resources but she and her family lived in poverty.
And really killing people and blowing bridges aren't that easy as Holywood loves to portrait.
The story of Freddie Oversteegen - how much truth is in it?

Hello, I am interested in what actual proof is out there regarding her "resistance/killing Nazi times". Like documents regarding the deaths of random German Soldiers in Netherlands.wm wrote: ↑27 Sep 2019, 00:34They say that Oversteegen, her sister, and friend Hannie Schaft worked to sabotage the Nazi military presence in the Netherlands.

Like how plausible is that three Teenage Girls killed a bunch of German Soldiers in Netherlands?
Or is this all just bragging and lies so that she can sell stories to the Press.

Hmm.. The Dutch government awarded the Mobilization War Cross. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobilisation_War_Cross>. A look at the citation & recomending documents would give a indication if that award is spurious or earned.
