However, the US Army history of operation torch linked in a previous post (https://history.army.mil/html/books/006 ... _6-1-1.pdf) states on page 212 that when the planes took off the "Peace" Plan was the one to be used, that is "Instead of parachute drops, aircraft would land troops", and only when they were already on flight was the "War" Plan reinstated. Were the Stick Jumpmasters still supposed to be in the planes if no paradrop was expected and the planes were intended to land to deliver the troops onboard?
