This is a very interesting photo as it shows asiatic troops - can someone enlighten me as to the unit?

That's it for my officers/luminaries. I believe everything else I have is either of vehicles, civilians, landscapes or regular SS-Männer

thank you very much for the help everyone!

I will advise the forum when all of these will be listed on eBay, which will hopefully be in a couple of weeks

Generaloberst Lindemann (18.Armee) with Knight's Cross
Major d. Sch.P. Herbert Golz, Kdr. I./Pol.Schtz.Rgt. 3 in 1941 (I guess to the lef tin the picture)
Leutnant d. Sch.P. Heinrich Oelkers

If we discard Stubaf. von Westphalen (awarded the EK I in May 1940), the options for the Deutschland's Sturmbannführer to the left are Paul Barnekow (Rgts.-Ingenieur) and Dr. Adolf Murthum, Rgts.-Arzt. Unfortunately I do not have other pictures of these officers to compare.
If someone owns their personal files, perhaps can check the dates of award of the Iron Crosses

Murthum was awarded EKI on 26.8.41 (from search on this forum)

So it could be him, as Jürgen Wagner was moved to command the SS-Inf.Rgt. 11 on 13.07.41, and the picture should be taken while still serving with Deutschland. But Murthum's date of award only avoid to discard him.

The Knight's Cross holder is Generaloberst Georg Lindemann, commander of the L. Armeekorps.

At the time the photo was taken (Sept. 1941), he was commander of the L. Armeekorps. He took over the 18. Armee in 1942.

Indeed! :D Well spotted.

Which also shows that some of the inscriptions were written months and even years after the photos were taken (that "SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Hausser" inscription on a 1941 pic from page 1 was probably added after the war; the Lindemann-inscription was written in/after 1942).

Cheers,
Ivan

Ignacio is correct - the abbreviation is common.
