WWII German Necklace and Armband
WWII German Necklace and Armband
Hello everyone! This is my first post here and I'm really excited to become a part of the community. My neighbor recently gifted me with his professor's WWII bring backs. His professor was a U.S. captain and did in fact fight in WWII. My neighbor inherited these items after his professor's passing. I believe that the armband is real but the necklaces trip me up. I have been collecting for awhile now and have never seen anything quite like these necklaces. At first I thought they were fantasy pieces (I still think this actually) but they must be early fantasy pieces than if this officer brought them home with him. Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly welcomed. I am honestly lost here.

Re: WWII German Necklace and Armband
Good afternoon Paul,
the two necklaces (?) with the swastika and the skull / SS symbol are in my opinion pure fantasy products.
To the shown swastika armband a statement is difficult, the photo is too small, sorry.

Thank you Hans. I have attached more pictures of the armband for your consideration. Any advice on determining the validity of it? Also do you think the necklaces are early fantasy pieces? Early meaning of the time period of the war.Hans1906 wrote: ↑13 Nov 2020, 13:46Good afternoon Paul,

Paul,
looking at the larger two photos, I tap on a simple screen printing, G: "Siebdruck".
For my impression, the armband is also a reproduction, but an exact statement is difficult?
I own a few old catalogs from an american mail-order dealer named "Delta International" from the 1970s.
(Thin brochures with about 20 pages back then)
Armbands like this were sold worldwide back then by mail, whatever was offered from them was 100% reproduced.

Re: WWII German Necklace and Armband
Armband and the pendants -charms are all modern fantasy nonsense. Well, the charms are fantasy garbage, modern made, and as Hans states the armband is modern made, exact same one can be bought at mant repro sites and Reddick sells this exact same band for 12.00,used to be 8.00 several eyars ago. I know that, because I have had this exact same armband in my fake collection. As for the story your neighbor gave you about past ownership, lets just say either he is a bullcrapper or the so called professor was.because these are MODERN made fantasy and repro, modern being this decade 2000 to now

Re: WWII German Necklace and Armband
Mainly the sewing.the material used..and just having experience in seeing in hand real ones (and the many many varient made) real NSDAP armbandsd are very common and all over.prices range from 20.00 up.. I've bought them a slow as 5.00 each ..Also helps to searchon the www any of the www sites dedicated to TR manufacture techniques and regulation. NO armband was ever silk screened, or made from Polyester, plastic etc.and there are many fantasy stuff and weirdly made ones on various sites selling real German passing them off as real.
