Identification of SA leaders - Group photos at the Reichsführerschule der SA

#1

Post by Michael Miller » 02 Apr 2021, 16:37

The U.S. National Archives (NARA) website recently posted many group photos showing graduates of instructional courses (Lehrgänge) at the Reichsführerschule der SA in München. This thread is to aid in identification of lesser-known SA, SS, and NSKK leaders who appear in those photos.

To begin: These are the graduates of 7. Lehrgang at the Reichsführerschule der SA in München (06.12.1931-19.12.1931).
Seeking identifications for most of the men pictured.

With thanks in advance,
~ Mike

Outstanding work, Andrey, and thanks for catching the un-numbered Usadel.

Gratefully,

I have to disagree with 34 as being Barisani. Although they look similiar, the ears, eyebrows, receding hairline are are all wrong. Review the comparison below. Major differences.

Agree, Mark, and Barisani appears to have a cleft chin whereas the mystery officer does not.
Both Austrian but different men.

No 33 should be Eduard Schmeer and not Friedrich.

Hello to all

The microfilm roll 073 of the NARA series T-581 (NSDAP Hauptarchiv) supports that the 7.Kurs an der RFS took place from 9.November to 29.November.1931. This is the first page of the list of attendants
7.Kurs_1.jpg

The photo posted by Michael shows the attendants to a Lehrgang by the Reichspropaganda-Abteilung II that took place at the RFS from 7.December to 18.December.1931. This is the list of Teilnehmer (that includes almost all the names already listed) from the same source

Hope the names make easier to put them to faces.

Regards from Madrid

Thank you, Laurens. Your SA expertise is always appreciated.

The moustache threw me off on Fenz, but yes- unmistakably him (right down to the Baltenkreuz and Schlesischer Adler).

Great work, everyone.

Best wishes,
~ Mike
