Excellent 6-part documentary on Arte:

Der Dreißigjährige Krieg - Vom Prager Fenstersturz bis zum Westfälischen Frieden
400 years ago, from 1618 to 1648, war determined everyday life in Europe. What superficially began as a religious war after the Reformation quickly spread to the entire continent. A third of the population died. That is more casualties in percentage terms than in any other European war. The painstakingly negotiated Peace of Westphalia established an order that remains one of the foundations of European thought to this day.

Running time 300+ minutes in 6 parts.

Excellent, a true must-see documentary!
French/German Co-production from the year 2018
