General Staff Officers in Axis and Allied Armies

I am trying to compile a list of general staff officers of the Axis and Allied armies in the Western Desert campaign (from February 1941 to November 1942, from El Agheila to Cairo). For instance - I know that the Ia (operations officer) of the Deutsch-Italienische Panzerarmee was Oberst Siegfried Westphal from 1 October 1942 to 19 November 1942.

And that's where I need the help of the collective :) Do you know of a good sources from where I can find this kind of information? I need it for both the German-Italian army and the British army. Is there a good book on the subject? Is there a good website?

I am doing a research for a future game design and would model my staff officers based on this research. Thank you in advance!
