Dear all, Andreas,
we recently visited the wreck of the SS VELOCE, an Italian cargo ship that was sunk on December 2, 1942, while on convoy for Tripoli, during the retreat of Axis forces after the battle of El Alamein. The cargo holds of the ship are full of half tracks, artillery that looks like 88, vehicles, etc. Will send some pictures. I have the impression that most of the material is German, and was wandering if it is possible to get information about the cargo list, and if the cargo was destined to German troops, as well as any other info on this ship. I thank you in advance for your attention and help!
Kind regards, Mario (Sebastiano)

The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
