Good Afternoon,
I am attempting to research a Wehrmacht Soldier - Hauptfeldwebel Ludwig Rieger, Feldpost number 37738 B.
Can any information about him be found from his feldpost number, such as location or his unit / regiment ?
I know he was awarded the KVK 2 in May 1943 and the KVK 1 in January 1944, and that he was possibly from Salzburg.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Hello, you could only find his home unit (battalion, abteilung, ....) and his company (which explains the letter).

The Feldpost Number belonged to Landesschutzen-Bataillon 894 with the B indicated 1.Kompanie.
