Attached here is part of an death announcement that appeared in a late 1939 issue of the party magazine "Der Hoheitsträger". It is signed by a Hauptbefehlsleiter and head of the Hauptschulungsamts der NSDAP. In 1940 that person was Dr. Friedrich Schmidt the former Deputy Gauleiter. The signature looks nothing like the name Schmidt. There were only two Hauptbefehlsleiters at that time, Schmidt and Hans Saupert and it can't be Saupert. Can anyone confirm that this is Schmidt's signature? Could it be spelling out Dr. F. Schmidt? But I can't see any S,D or T in this signature. Thanks.
