Medvedev visited Kurganmashzavod, a major BMP factory. Without knowing the background of this visit, it's probably the Russian leadership trying to coordinate an increase in production:
Serial production of BMP-3 with dynamic protection began - Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Medvedev.

advertising for the reactive armor:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYBx_92A6zM&t=17s

https://militaryleak.com/2022/09/14/kal ... g-vehicle/

It looks like huge ERA blocks on the side of the vehicle. The advertising also implies its use for tanks.

However the ERA blocks do not cover the majority of the top, meaning that the BMP-3 is still vulnerable to top-attack.

The armor system is compatible with T-72B3 and T-80BVM. 1:43 demonstrates its installation on a tank. A lot of surface area is not covered, I guess the rest of the surface area will require custom-fitted (smaller) ERA blocks.

For me e.g. Oryx would do nicely. I see no need to doubt UK or US government sources either if you happen to be privy to their combat loss analysis data.
Oryx is the generally accepted sourced, and a while back lostarmour agreed with oryx. I havnt looked at UAWeaponstracker yet.
I do check Oryx as a source, and lostarmour, they have a good forum, UAWeaponstracker is one of Oryx' sources.

Oryx is very pro-Ukraine,
As any good people should be.

and you have to exhaustingly check every entry.
Exactly why do you think that anyone is interested in "loss analysis" by some random type with no known credentials and no credibility with anyone but the pro-Orc crowd which is full of evil liars anyhow? E.g. where previously has your "loss analysis" been craved for in

Counting armored vehicle losses from the last week, from videos and photos, 9 of the 12 Russian tank losses have been T-80BV models, 12 Ukrainian tanks lost in the same period, 2 T-64, 2 T-72, 2 T-80, 6 I'm not sure of the models. Armored vehicles of all types I count 30 Russian and 50 Ukrainian.
Can your numbers be corroborated from any reliable source?
Want me to post 80 photos?
Of course not.
Corroborate; verb: confirm or give support to (a statement, theory, or finding).
Reliable source. Since I doubt that anyone expects anything but pro-Orc bias from the likes of you, you are not one.
I would like to see proof that the videos and photos have been competently analysed and numbers and damage level if any confirmed by a truthful open-source intelligence operator.

Mostly the Russian losses are documented on UAWeaponstracker, Ukrainian losses are mostly published on Telegram
Wherever as long as they are not analysed by some pro-Orc liar troll.

For a small example, for 7.11 they say 5 T-72B3 destroyed, so you have to look at the 5 entries;
At what url do Oryx say that 5 T-72B3 destroyed on 7.11.?
johnwilliamhunter wrote:

1 is from September and it's a blurry image of 'something' burning, no source, I didn't count it.
2 appears to be a tank on fire, no source, how can they tell it's a russian t-72b3?, even the caption says unknown tank, I didn't count it.
3 is a tank, they claim from 3.11, but it is burnt and has plants growing over it, clearly months old, I didn't count it.
4 is from July, I didn't count it.
5 is from June, I didn't count it.
An honest person would have acknowledged the fact that instant identification and analysis of armour losses; especially those in orcified territories is virtually impossible:
Previously unidentified armour losses are identified even months after the fact and moved to identified types of correct loss category.
Armour previously listed destroyed, damaged, abandoned or captured is moved to the correct category.
Other corrections are applied: Incorrect entries removed etc.

However I doubt that any good people expect anything but pro-Orc bias from the likes of you.

They listed 23 russian tank losses for this day and presented it as if they were new,
At what url do Oryx say that 23 Ruffian tanks were destroyed on 11.11.?
johnwilliamhunter wrote:

I checked all of them and only 2 were recent, 2 of the T-80s I counted.
Why would anyone believe "loss analysis" from a constantly lying pro-Orc troll like you who professes to believe genocidal war criminals.

Oryx was obviously biased from the beginning.

All good people should be biased against the Kremlin genocidal maniacs and their armed farces of absolute evil.

Western media loves it (as well as pro-Ukrainian biased posters here) love it as it inflates the Russian losses.

Please provide proof that Oryx inflates the Russian losses.

I have little interest in it or lost armour, I don't have time to sort through real vs. fakes.
Or the intelligence to conduct qualitative and especially quantitative assessments since you have proven yourself incapable of handling calculations involving double-digit numbers somewhat over 50?

It is far too time consuming and exhausting to check everything there, I've done it enough to be sure that I don't trust it.
Sounds like a glowing recommendation since you are a constantly lying pro-Orc troll who professes to believe genocidal war criminals' public statements.

Re: the other corrections. As previously orcified territories are liberated, destroyed, damaged and abandoned Orc armour (and some Ukrainian) is found and hopefully for the most part documented and analysed by Oryx.

Tank battle, 11th regiment of the DPR at the village of Pervomayskoye.

https://vk.com/milinfolive?z=video-1235 ... -123538639

Reports from tankers indicate that there is very little tank to tank combat in this war and in the main the tanks have been used as assault guns. 20+ rounds are carried, only 3 or so AP, the rest HE.

The ammo capacity of the Soviet tank is really low, this must be a significant disadvantage, like it was in WW2.

20+ is only the ammunition stored in the autoloader carousel. Another 19-26 rounds are stored in ammo bins for manual restocking of the carousel.

You are right.

There is a tactic that the Russians use called the "tank carousel". Several tanks take turns shooting at targets, one by one.
