Uniform Question
Where would the War Merit Cross 1st Class be worn on a Kriegsmarine uniform? If the recipient already had the Iron Cross 1st Class and the U-Boat War Badge (both worn on the left side), would a War Merit Cross 1st Class be worn on the right side (for example, below the German Cross in Gold)? TIA for any info.

Not in that position.Would a War Merit Cross 1st Class be worn on the right side (for example, below the German Cross in Gold) ?
KVK 1ª it was not a decoration very common in the submarines branch either.
Two examples of KVK 1ª with swords, and Iron Cross 1º together ;
Next to EK 1, partially hidden.
( I have no examples in the uniform of the Kriegsmarine ).

Re: Uniform Question
Thanks for the info! I'm creating an avatar for this character (I'm playing Silent Hunter III) and after further considering the matter I moved the KVK 1ª over to the left side. So now on the left side he has from top to bottom:
Iron Cross 1st Class
KVK 1ª
U-Boat Badge with Diamonds
I would imagine the KVK 1ª would be placed over any branch badge, no? Your thoughts?

I was lucky I found a good example, but wearing a High Seas Fleet Badge, not U-Boat.
And a Spanish Cross on the other side.
