Crew weapons repair?

Does anyone know where small arms used by crewmen were sent for repair? In many photos, crewmen are shown holding captured foreign weapons (especially French), either in shore/coastal facilities or onboard vessels.

Did these repair facilities, if they existed, have a specific title or designation?
