I saw a copy in a biography of A.H. service record of his gas Wounding in 1918....

1) Any idea what type of gas it was?
2) Between 1919 and 1933 did A.H. ever attempt to receive a goverment pension for his 1918 gassing?

The gas type was mentioned in an older biography as mustard gas.
Regarding the pension you would need to verify temporary blindness made one liable for one.
