Q about DKiG recipient

I have a DKiG where on the back it says:

Dorner
L-16548
1943

Does anyone have info?

Feldwebel Johann Dorner won the DKiG on 16th August 1943 while serving with 3.(H)/Aufklärungsgruppe 21. The Feldpost number matches the unit (Nahaufklarungs-Staffel 3 (H) 21).
