Has anyone got any images/info of the Mammoth used by Rommel in the desert?

Please find attached a photo of Rommel's Mammoth. The photo was taken from Encyclopedia of German Tanks of World War Two, by Peter Chamberlain and Hilary L Doyle.

Post by him.rudkjoebing » 15 Aug 2003 12:26

Further on the Mamut:

It seems, that the german HQ accuired at leat 2 specimens, beeing named "Max" and "Moritz". I think (but I have not checked) that you can find pictures in "German Tanks in North Africa (or Middeleast). Which one was Rommel's I am not sure, bur I seem to remember it was "Max"
