Berghof as Tourist Attraction

Post by Walrus » 11 Aug 2003 13:34

Did I read somewhere that the Berghof is being opened as a tourist attraction?

The Berghof does not exist any more. See http://www.thirdreichforum.com/viewtopi ... cc142d0ce1.

The tourist attraction is the "Kehlsteinhaus", a building at the top of the mount Kehlstein. Hitler never lived there and used this building only three or four times (overall for diplomacy-related events and for the wedding feast of Fegelein and Gretl Braun).

Why is there such a sudden increase in posts about the Berghof all of the sudden? Is it just beacuse it's vacation-times or is it something else? What am I missing here?
