What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
I too would like to know more about "Wilhelm Schneider - "Hitler's personal butler".

I also believe that she told her daughter about him. The older children become, the more interesting they are. It's understandable that Evi had a photo of her dad in it.
I'm actually only approached this story because I got an old 16mm Siemens Camera C from my grandfather. which he had got from a friend back then from Bavaria and which he gave me shortly before his death. He did not tell me more info or did not want to tell me.
On the instructions is a stamp of Heinrich hoffmann. no idea if that's real. but this camera is very rare and I have seen this model just 3 times. there are 3 modele the C and then the C the front is designed differently and the CII is very often there.
Now I'm dealing with it if it is even the camera of Eva Braun.
and search for your story. That's why I went to the places where she was everywhere. A few photos where I was. I would like to find out why she wanted to stay with a man like Hitler.

Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
Schneider has been mentioned a few times here on ahf some years back. I don't think he was much more than on of the many valets around Hitler. If a favorite I think Heinz Linge would be a better candidate. Try a search using "Kammerdiener" and you might find some info on Schneider in old Stern and Das Bild interviews.

Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
I knew I'd seen Gretl's place of burial listed. According to Find a Grave its Ruhpolding Village Cemetery Traunsteiner Landkreis, Bavaria (Bayern), GermanyG.K. wrote:It is true that it is the daughter of Fegelein. You can see it in the face that she is from him.
Does one of you know the place where Gretl is buried?
I know that together with her sister Ilse and her daughter Eva Babara and Gretl's husband, they are lying in a grave together.
That should be in Munich. Only which cemetery north, south, west or east?
in a video I saw how the cousin "Gertraud Weisker" of Eva stood at the grave.
I was already at the grave of the parents.
but does one of you know where the other grave lies?

That's where the Braun parents are buried. I did not see any Berlinghoff family marker in that cemetery the several times I have been there, but I may have missed it as I was not looking for it. I see that the Find-a-Grave listing 126497030 says Gretl is buried there as well, but I'd like to see confirmation of this from someone who has seen the grave there.
Thanks for posting those photos, G.K.! Most of those were taken at the Koenigsbach waterfall at the Koenigsee lake near Berchtesgaden. (see http://thirdreichruins.com/miscbldgs3.htm - under Koenigssee Area Sites)
Wait ... Who is the guy in these photos? Is that some Photoshop work?

It sure fooled me until I enlarged those images ... clever work! Nice job to reach that site as well, G.K. ... it's not easy to get to.

Hey, I did not want to fool anyone here. I also wrote that I was in the places.
Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
Yes, I was in Ruhpolding in a few times and found the parents.
but after the video I shared here, Gretl, Ilse, Little Eva and Kurt have to lie together in a grave on one of the Munich cemeteries.

Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
As this forum is basically for research your photos would have been better placed in "The Lounge" or "What If" sections.
As in : "What if Hitler had discovered I had gone skinny dipping with his girlfriend ?"
Great work, but not appropriate here, IMO.
Cheers

@ GK
Why don't we start a "Great Moments in History" thread in The Lounge ?
Members could Photoshop/Gimp [or some other photo editing ap ] their image into some historic event.
Perhaps the historic image could be rearranged to make an ironic comment.
The possibilities are endless.
Sounds like a lot of fun to me.
Cheers

not a bad idea. Divisions classified by category. everyone can show their edited photos.
Re: What happened to the sister of Eva Braun?
Hi everybody this is my first post. It may have been mentioned elsewhere, but the gravestones of the Braun parents in Rühpolding and the sisters in the Waldfriedhof in Munich have recently been removed (2018)
