Thanks. It might be, he died on 19 July 1941 as Oberst in Russia.

Yes, Sorko it was.

Sorko, RK 20.06.40 as Kmdr GbJgRgt 137.
Eglseer, 25.10.40 as Kmdr 4 Gb Div
Eglseer, GenMj 01.11.40
Sorko, 15.11.40 as Kmdr, GbJgRgt 13, 4 GB Div .... so picture taken around this time...it looked cold!
Sorko, dead 19.07.41

#1 might be Gen.Maj Gustav Wagner, although no 100% sure.

100% sure, based on his picture on the"Weg und Schicksal der 11.Inf.-Div" by W.Buxa. Podzun- Verlag 1952.

Hi Vienna & Miocid!

Many thanks for your speedy input, it is much appreciated. Although it isn't patricularly clear, I suspected that the General now identified as Feyerabend is wearing the Kurland cufftitle. You don't often see pics of it in wear by senior officers! I agree that #1 has a similarity to Gustav Wagner, but perhaps someone has some other suggestions?
