There is no mention of any Martin Braun in Horst Scheibert's "Die Träger des Deutschen Kreuzes in Gold - Das Heer" or, for that matter, in Gerhard von Seemen's "Ritterkreuzträger" (1976). You probably got the wrong man...

A little supplement to ritterkreuz.de. In german language you can also find ö,ä,ü under oe ae ue; so you can find H oe hne!

Who is this officer? Arthur Bruns or Axel Bruns? Take a look at http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de , the same pic for different names, who is who?:
