Hello Denis,
thanks for your reply on the added RK's an the correction of Klausgraber.
I have here another question. On the site of Pinterest there's a photo of Knauth, with mentioning that on the left is Manfred von Leibnitz. I have no photo of him, but to my opinion, comparing with the photo that I have of Rolf Lippert, that should be him, before receiving the RK. What do you think?
Regards,
Hugo.

Hello Hugo
Yes the officer at left is captioned as Manfred Freiherr von Leibnitz
Leibnitz was awarded DKiG on October 44 as member of Schw. Pz. Abt. 505, born in 1921 and died in Jan 1945.
See this link for plenty if interesting info:
http://forum.panzer-archiv.de/viewtopic.php?p=128848

Lippert was awarded RK on June 44; born in 1900 and as a WWI veteran was awarded the Spange to EK II 1914 and the 1939 EK I

The officer at left is wearing a ribbon bar with 2 Long Service medals (not logical if this is the 1921-born Leibnitz)
The officer at left seems too old to be 23 years old; 44 years old (Lippert's age seems more consistent)
The officer wears a Black Wound badge while th ebio notice on the Panzer Archiv forum says at that time, Reibnitz was wearing the Silver badge
The officer also wears a General Assault badge while Reibnitz was awarded a IAB and a PAB
The facial features are close of Lippert's ones (but angle of the photo does not allow to see easily acknowledged Lippert's scar)

So I agree there are some possibilties that the officer at left is Lippert but as long as we won't have a better copy of the photo to check officer's rank or his ribbon bar (to see if there is the Spange zum EK II) let us with doubts and an opened question (another one!)

I attached a better quality of your pic (but not enough to see required détails quoted above, I'm afraid)
Denis

PS: you should submit your finding on the Panzer Archiv forum; mabe some specialists of Panzer units will be able to help...
