To Someone from Kharkov:
Thanks for your identification Otto Weidhofer / Robert Vogel.
Sure that the person with the glasses is Otto Weidhofer?
I found another pic of WILHELM OKRENT, looks that this is the same person:
clarified that this is Otto Weidhofer / AHF id

To joerg

Yes, I'm sure. I do agree that these two men are similar to each other, but identification about Otto Weidhofer took place at that forum already.

Hello, Joerg,

On Page 229, you posted a pic listed as RKT UB 331. That is a photograph of Gerhard Schurreit. This has already been identified some time back.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

joerg and Someone from Kharkov,

about the Weidhofer / Okrent case. That specific pic indeed was requested on page 183
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 7#p1197997
John said "looks like".
If I recall correctly this photo is from the series "Unteroffiziere des Heeres..." , but I couldn't find the one with the caption for comparisn.
Okrent received the KC in april 43 as Obergefreiter. I'm not sure right now if he ever reached a higher rank or made it to Ofw. (?)

Getting a nice "three front" id process here. "Regular" requests, the new ones from the Bundesarchiv (with no and/or some strange captions) and the old ones. As always I want to bother you with the "old front" and the last series of this year of pics

Hello, Bernd,

You ask for confirmation of a photo listed as 3280924 on Page 224 which shows a picture of Johannes Geismann.
I will confirm that. The pic I have of him was taken a little later than the one shown. However, after looking at the facial features of my pic and comparing them with those of the depicted, especially the ears, nose and eyes, I will say that it is indeed he.

I hope this helps.

Take care.

On the subject of Weidhofer/Okrent, here are two images from the Kai Winkler website, one of each of the men.
