Hi guys
For Fangio : this is Bruno Kahl
For Freiherr : the photo of the ceremony with Galland and Dietrich is, as far as I can see, a meeting to bestow the RK d. KVK.
I believe that each new RKT d. KVK came usually with a RKT d. EK.

Hello
For Daniel : the unknown RKT from the Gebirgstruppe might be Anton Lorch but I am not sure.

Denis

Thanks Denis, unless anyone has any other suggestions I believe you are right. Have you seen the photo before? This phot appears to show him as a Major but since he recieved the Knight's cross as an Oberstleutnant it must have been added afterwards.

Best regards/ Daniel

No I don't remember it. I will have a look this evening in the Biblio Verlag's book dealing with RKT from Gebirgstruppen.

Hello
I had a look in the Biblio Verlag book and the unkonw RKT is not so close of the various Lorch pics which are displayed in the book.
I have scrutinized the full book (covers RKT from L to Z names) and none looked like closely to Daniel's photo. I will have a look in the 1st volume and I hope I will be luckier.
Will keep you informed about that matter.
Regards
Denis

Thanks Denis, it's appreciated. I must say though that there is a big resemblance with the photo shown on das-ritterkreuz.de. At least in my opinion.

Yes, I agree with you and that's why I originally saaid it might be Lorch. Ho<wever, based on the wartime photos shown in the book, the resemblance was far from being evident.
I would have liked to see a close up of Lorch's Bundeswehr ribbon bar to see wheter a TDB tinnie is shown.

Hello
I have a good news ! The unknown RKT from the Gebirgstruppe is Max Hochleitner who is listed as being awarded the RK on 05/05/45. However, he is not listed by Fellgiebel in his book and he is consequently not officially recognized by the OdR as a RKT.
