Is it ground dug ?

Lack of definition on the front either through corrosion or in my opinion (humble though it might be) maybe its not too good and its been made to look like its been in the ground ?

It's a heavily corroded zink badge hard to tell if original or not. It has some good charateristics.

Hi Mark

I understand that you really want to have one of this medal or you really interesting on this type of medal. Becasue I read three threads that created by you.

From my point of view, I will waiting for another one. It is because, I can't determine it is original or not.

This looks like the AP badge that a seller Charbador had on Epier a few months ago. Same seller has a ground dug GA badge on now. I don't like it.

I don't know what it takes to get it through your head. the badge is 1. ground dug or made to look like. 2. He thinks that it is fake as do I. UNDERSTAND?? GROUND DUG? FAKE?? JUNK!!!! In my humble opinion.

Sorry mr.stump I'am not a self proclaimed expert, like you. Besides the ground dug point, you guys are not pointing out what is wrong with it!!!

Hi Mark

It's my point to look a Ground dug item

1. Ground dug item can be easily made by a fake with some process like chemical wash.
2. The item itself is "blur" and lose details, hard to determine it is original or fake.
3. For self corrction is no problem but hard to re-sell.
4. Not good to present the art work of the medal. The primary beauty of a medal is its historical background and the secondary is its art work.

This is my opinions for this kind of items and why I don't buy anyone of them, even my favor "Knight Cross to Iron Cross" :)

Regards

The pin ,hinge and catch should tell you straight away.
Just compare to known originals.

The hinge is squared off , the pin is flat and thick and the wrong shape , the catch is supposed to be attached to a circular base plate , the one in the picture is attached to something that definately aint circular.
