Hello Bill

Is this example existing in your collection? Do you have any information, such as how many pieces awarded during WWII?

Thanks

Hi Kocjo

Can't help you. Sorry Kocjo, just kidding in the previous post. APB always made me mixed both badges. Maybe I am crazy on Army Para Badge :oops:

Yes, the Anti-Partisan War Badge in Gold with Diamonds did exist, but was never awarded. According to my book on Third Reich awards, 20 examples in silver-gilt with diamonds were manufactured but none awarded.

Do you perhaps know what would be criteria for awarding this decoration for Land-base soldier and Air force Soldier/Pilot?

Likely criteria

Hello there;
Just to theorise I guess this award woul dhave been for most successful unit commanders of anti partisan units or individuals who planned and ordered them, such as HSSPfs, Pol.Generals etc etc, maybe similar to award of navy badges with diamonds to succesful kapitans etc.
I don;t think it would have been for the ordinary ranks!

Also, just how often do you see any old documents pertaining to the existence of this award. Many places it is written Himmler rdered 20 badges, anyoen seen the order/paperwork..? Lots of people ""say"" there were some but oculd just as easily be a scam from years ago for as high quality fake as far as I can see. I am not syaing they are not wartime produced, of course, I have never seen one and I assume anyone who does have one is sure of their authenticity. I would just like to hear the story behind their discovery, I don't recall seeing any facts on their history.
Where did the rumour start that they were produced in the late war years.? I 'assume' they would have been kept somewhere safe but never issued..?
Kind Regards
Matt Gibbs
