Hello Gentlemen,
I have a question about the decorations of Weitzel :
Weitzel received only the Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP in Silber (various posts confirm that)
but in this picture above, the second medal left to right is not a Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP in Bronze ??

Regards

If one received the silver, he also received the bronze. If one received the gold, he received the silver and the bronze. Weitzel qualified for both grades of the award.

Our friend Requin Marteau says here that Weitzel joined the NSDAP in September 1925. But I've read that Weitzel joined the party already in 1923.

So what's correct???

Mike

What do you mean by SS STAF II ????

I guess with SS OFHR you mean SS-Oberführer ???

Thanks Phil,

The explanation says it all and now I also know what SS STAF III means.
I already thought it couldn't be a rank, but I for sure didn't know it was a job title.

Greetings,
Mike
