Austro-Hungarian officer's Ausgangskäppi

Post by Orok » 03 Jan 2004 15:24

This officer's Ausgangskäppi was auctioned at ebay. Note it has an enlisted man's pierced cockade. I've seen hundreds of period photos of officers wearing this type of Käppi but never found one example of other rank's cockade fixed on it. Also the double cord appeared to be silver gray, instead of gold. But this might be a trick played by my computer! :D

Does anyone have an opinion on this item?

Best Regards!
