For Southern, English members, there is the monthly military fair at Chatham Dockyard from 8am until 1.30pm.

This is every second Sunday of the month.

This event seems to be growing with dealers and intrest every month.

(Watch out for some dodgy dealers though).

One year later here I am again to announce the 33rd Annual 2 Day Historical Arms Collectors Society of British Columbia swap meet / show coming up on April 23rd & 24th. As stated in last years post - this is the largest annual gathering of ‘gun & war nuts’ in this neck of the woods, and there is usually quite a good selection of WWII items put up for sale.

The show is held at Coquitlam Sport Complex Arena, 633 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, B.C.

Show times:
9am – 5pm Saturday,
9am – 3 pm Sunday

ROLL UP, ROLL UP!

The greatest military show in the whole world is coming to town!

The War and Peace Show (aka Beltering, aka the hop farm) is on this year 20th-24th of July.

Once again, military vehicles galore, re-enactment from various military periods (WW2 very prominent hurrah!), a silly amount of militaria stalls which take all day alone to walk around, a bloke selling burgers, etc.

A great few days.

(BTW, I'm not on comission here folks).

Excellent show once again. So many militaria stalls it took four hours to walk aound them, let alone the re-enactment, vehicles and displays.

I made some great purchases, but am now awaiting my next pay cheque!

Nice to see so many foreign visitors.

Where in the world (In Estonia) is this beautiful fair. In America, i go to a gun show and would pay $50+ for a wound badge! (Not me tho'). Where in Estonia. How much for (average, estimate):
- Gas Mask Can
- Helmet
- Mortar
- Medals

Now, i have to add (Estonia) to my list of places to visit in Europe.

No clue about that, but there's floating around "estonian tank destruction badge" from 1945, when Estonia did not exist anymore  So fantasy is probably a good guess.

I did some research on the Latvian Luft badge. Its a commemorative badge for veterans of 12 Luftnachtschlagruppe (thats a tongue twister!), 50 years anniversary. Gorgeous looking piece!

If you purchase/find a copy of 'Military Trader', it lists all the shows (most) that are held around the USA and elsewhere.
