Stutthof concentration camp

Post by royal » 27 Jan 2004 12:21

Can anyone please give me any information on the SS staff in Stutthof Concentration Camp, especially the Commandant SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Max Pauly and the security officer, SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Paul- Werner Hoppe. Also i would like to know anything about the camp doctors, SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Dr Otto Heidl, SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Dr Willy Jobst and Professor Rudolf Spanner. I will be giving a presentation on the camp in two weeks time and would be very grateful on any information i can get.

Thank you very much to all who have sent me information. I visited the camp 4 years ago and will never forget it. I hope my presentation can do it justice.

Never mind. I discovered he was released after serving 7 1/2 years of his sentence in December 1964. Not bad considering how early others were released.

Hoppe was also a graduate of JS Braunschweig in 1935 and served in SS-TV Elbe in 1936 and SS-TV Oberbayern 1936-38 prior to joining Eicke'a staff at Oranienberg.
